We aim to revolutionize affordable housing by creating inclusive, community-driven spaces and developing a model that inspires change and empowers people nationwide.

People's Housing is all about building more than just homes—we’re creating communities. We turn underused spaces into affordable, sustainable housing, working hand-in-hand with neighbors, local organizations, and volunteers. It’s not just about solving the housing crisis here; it’s about building a model that others can follow to create real change

St John's House

St. John’s House is an affordable housing project developed by People’s Housing in collaboration with local partners. It is sponsored by The Episcopal Church of St. John the Baptist in Aptos, California. The church has partnered with People’s Housing to develop this affordable housing project, utilizing its land to provide stable, supportive housing for low-income and unhoused residents in Santa Cruz County. This small, community-focused apartment complex serves as a model for how underutilized spaces—like church properties—can be transformed into vibrant, sustainable housing for those in need. Designed to foster a sense of belonging and inclusivity, St. John’s House represents the heart of People’s Housing’s mission: creating solutions that are both local and scalable to address the housing crisis.

Effort 2

People’s Housing is dedicated to building deeply affordable housing without relying on traditional government funding models like tax credits. By leveraging underutilized land—particularly faith-based properties—and attracting private investment, philanthropy, and community support, we create small-scale housing solutions that are replicable, community-centered, and financially sustainable
